We are now seeking new members of staff to join an existing team that covers a wide range of work from industrial and commercial energy surveys to advice to the public sector and assistance to lawyers and contractors in disputes in the energy and a variety of other fields.

This vacancies are based in our city centre Glasgow office.

Mechanical and Power Engineer / Senior Engineer

Chartered engineer or scientist with experience in the power and energy industries interested in branching out into forensic and expert witness investigations. We are looking for someone with experience in a range of industries and environments, for example public sector, manufacturing, service industries.

The successful candidate will have an interest in provision of dispute resolution services including preparation of expert technical opinion. This will require a good command of written English as well as a sound engineering knowledge and background. They will preferably also be familiar with energy efficiency measures and have knowledge of conventional and renewable energy generation.

Salary negotiable, £25K to £35K.

Assistant Engineer / Engineer

Qualifications – honours degree or higher degree in mechanical engineering, energy or similar subject. Desire to progress to chartered engineer status.

Experience – some relevant industrial experience and advantage

Job responsibilities – Assisting with technical investigations relating to complex expert technical opinion appointments. Undertaking small expert technical opinion appointments. Possible assistance with project work.

Competencies - Good command of written English. Capable of logical thought.  Sound engineering knowledge and background. Capable of working independently and as part of a small team. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with professional clients.

Salary around £18,000
