For many years the company has been active in the forensic and expert witness field.

Senior members of staff have acted in cases of litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation, expert determination, public inquiry and fatal accident inquiry throughout the UK and abroad. Most actions are civil but criminal work is also undertaken. We have worked for both claimants/pursuers and defendants/defenders.

The range has been diverse and spans a period of over thirty years and several hundred cases.

At one end of the scale we have acted in multi-million pound construction, engineering, power and process industry disputes both in the UK and overseas.

At the other end are small personal injury cases involving only a few days work.

Our engineers have experience of working in a range of jurisdictions and at different kinds of hearings.

Training

Staff undergo periodic training both in their engineering disciplines and in forensic work. The forensic training has been both in-house and external and has concentrated on report writing, courtroom skills and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
