Cadogans MD honoured at Energy Institute Autumn Lunch

Oct. 2008

Cadogans’ Managing Director, Roddy Wilkie was presented with an Award of Council at the Autumn Lunch on the 21st October 2008 by the Energy Institute’s Chief Executive, Louise Kingham.

The Award of Council is the highest award which the Council can make. Roddy received his award after completing almost 20 years of service to the Energy Institute -on the Scottish Branch Committee and on Council. He served on the Council of the former Institute of Energy (latterly as Honorary Secretary) prior to its merger with the Institute of Petroleum in 2000 and subsequently as an elected Ordinary Member of Council of the Energy Institute. During that time he served on the HRM and Finance Committees. Roddy Wilkie stood down at the AGM in June of this year but will continue his involvement via the South of Scotland Branch Committee.

Cadogan staff update

Sept. 2008

Cadogans aims for continuous improvement of its service to clients. Part of this is achieved by increasing staff expertise so we set a high priority on training and staff development. In this context we are pleased to announce two staff achievements.

David McIntyre has recently been elected a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and an Associate Member of the Institute of Arbitrators. He is continuing his personal development by studying part-time for an LLM in construction law at the University of Strathclyde.

Karen McNeill has been working hard and has been awarded a NEBOSH certificate in Health and Safety. She is now progressing towards the Diploma. We hope that a further staff member will undertake the NEBOSH course as well. .
