Experience Mr Hibbert has extensive experience in the construction, commissioning, and operation of large thermal power plant. This experience has included a wide range of plant from large simple cycle steam units, to gas turbine based combined cycle and cogeneration facilities. He also has experience of large scale MSF desalination plant. His experience includes the management of construction, operation and maintenance of power plant in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Peoples Republic of China, and several Middle Eastern countries. He has experience of failure analysis of turbine and other power plant components and in accident and fire investigation. Mr Hibbert has experience in the whole plant performance verification of combined cycle and cogeneration plants and in the performance analysis of gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers and desalination units. His management experience includes the technical and commercial management of power stations, management of a gas turbine service engineering group, and change management in a large organisation at departmental and divisional scales. Mr Hibbert has provided energy consultancy services to industrial and commercial customers. These services include energy use analysis, evaluation of means of energy efficiency improvement, and feasibility studies. He is also able to provide technical advice on gas turbines, steam turbines, boiler plant and auxiliary equipment and small-scale CHP units. Other Activities He is a member of a BSRIA working group on the retrofitting of CHP units to buildings Mr Hibbert is Area Secretary of the Edinburgh & SE Scotland Branch of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Professional Qualifications and Registrations
