Experience

Extensive experience in the UK and overseas in the design and construction supervision of structural and civil engineering projects including historic building remediation, bridges, water supply, reservoirs, ground engineering, educational, commercial, industrial and process structures, and major infrastructure. Founded a consultancy practice offering a high quality service in the design and management of construction projects together with litigation support to a broad spectrum of clients in the public and private sectors.

Developed own company and had considerable success with commissions such as the World Bank aided flood rehabilitation scheme in Saint Lucia, the ICE Merit Award (2003) Hulme Bridge in central Manchester, together with a comprehensive portfolio of UK work including a variety of educational, commercial and industrial buildings, sports facilities, oil storage facilities and highways projects.

Achieved Main Board status with Brown & Root (inc. Howard Humphreys), one of the world’s leading engineering companies, and developed the north west region from a standing start to over 120 staff based in Manchester.
